Congratulations Igutechs!
Team Igutech won the prestigious Judges’ Award at the FIRST Lego League (FLL) State Championship held on Jan 30, 2010 at the University of Delaware. The award was given to the team as recognition for overall outstanding performance at the FLL competition. The Igutechs scored in the top 10% in four judged categories: Teamwork, Robot Performance, Robot Design and Research Project. In addition, the team achieved the highest average score of all 47 participating teams in robot performance. Way to go!
From the FIRST Lego League Handbook: During the course of competition the judges may encounter a team whose unique efforts, performance, or dynamics merit recognition. Some teams have a story that sets them apart in a unique way. Sometimes a team is so close to winning an award that the judges choose to give special recognition to the team. This award gives the judges freedom to recognize the most remarkable team for which a standard award does not exist.
