State Championship

[HG Jan. 27, 2012] Team Igutech won the prestigious Championship Award (3rd place) at the Delaware State FIRST Lego League tournament on Jan. 26 at the Bob Carpenter Center (university of Delaware). This award recognizes a team that embodies the FLL experience, by fully embracing the FLL Core Values while achieving excellence and innovation in both the Robot Game and the Project. Team Igutech placed 3^rd out of 126 FIRST Lego League teams in the Delaware area.Congrats to the team and a big thank you to all parents and sponsors for their ongoing support.

Although this officially ends the 2012/13 FLL season, the team will continue to develop their Senior-Friendly Video Portal, a new device that Team Igutech invented for their science project in the FIRST Lego League. The Igutechs have already conducted successful trial video calls for seniors at the Luthercrest Senior Residence in Allentown, PA. This enabled a senior in a care facility to connect with her son – who lives too far to visit – through a simple-to-use video interface. Team Igutech has partnered with the Senior Residence to offer free video calls driven by their volunteer service. [Dec. 12, 2012] Team Igutech wins the 1st Place Championship Award at the regional FIRST Lego League Tournament at the Conrad School of Science in Wilmington, DE and therfore qualifies for the Delaware State Championship in January 2013. Way to go Team Igutech!

Team Igutech prepares for the North America Open

Team Igutech is invited to participate at the FLL North America Open tournament to be held from May 18-20, 2012 at the Legoland Resort in Carlsbad, CA. In regional Lego Robotics tournaments leading up to this event, the team scored first place at a Qualifier and 2nd place (out of 150 teams) at the FIRST State Championship in Delaware.

In preparation for Legoland, the team spent many weekends to tweak robot and programming. Also, they went out to share their enthusiam for robotics with the public at the Lehigh Valley Science Festival, where the team entertained 640 visitors throughout the day with hands-on robotics displays and info about the team and FIRST Lego League.

As materials, tournament fees and travel cost add up very quickly, the team is gladly accepting donations to offset some of the cost and enable all team members to participate at this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Please help us by sponsoring the team.

All donations are 100% tax deductible as Ingutech is registered as 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Any donation, no matter how small, will help us with our upcoming North-America Open FLL Tournament. All sponsors will be recognized on our website. 	July 2012	German-American Robot Cooperation Igutech was invited to a pilot project by the TUMLab to develop a robot that links up over the Internet with the robot from Ottobrunn Highschool in Munich, Germany.
	May 2012	FLL North America Open (Legoland, California) Team Igutech was invited with 64 other Champion Teams from Canade, United States and Mexico to the 2012 FLL Tournament at Legoland (CA). They scored 10th place.
	April 2012	Lehigh Valley Science Festival Team Igutech set up seven hands-on exhibits at the first Lehigh Valley Science Festival and explained more than 650 visitors all about Lego Robotics and the FLL.

This award recognizes a team that embodies the FLL experience, by fully embracing the FLL Core Values while achieving excellence and innovation in both the Robot Game and the Project. Team Igutech placed 2nd out of 42 teams.

This award recognizes a team that embodies the FLL experience, by fully embracing the FLL Core Values while achieving excellence and innovation in both the Robot Game and the Project. Team Igutech placed 1st out of 36 teams.
	Dec 2011	FLL First State Qualifier- 1st place Robot Performance This award recognizes a team that scores the highest points during the Robot Game. Teams have a chance to compete in at least three 2.5 minute matches and their highest score counts.
	Jun 2011	Team Igutech was invited by the Davinci Science Center in Allentown to build a robot that cut the ceremonial ribbon to open “The Summer of Manufacturing” exhibition

Team Igutech goes to LEGOLAND!

[HG Feb. 3, 2012] Congratulations to FIRST Lego League Team #6, The Igutechs!The team was awarded the prestigious CHAMPION’S AWARD at the regional FLL tournament in Delaware. Judging categories included robot design, robot programming,robot performance, team work as well research, presentation and innovative solution for the FLL ‘Food Factor’ science project. Overall, the team placed 2nd out of about 150 FLL teams in the Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey area.

The Champions Award allows the Igutechs to move on to the North America FLL Open, held on May 18-20 at the Legoland Resort in California.

FLL Team 340 (The Igutechs) won the 1st place in the Teamwork Award at the Conrad School of Science FLL Tournament. This qualifies the team to move up and participate in the state championship tournament on January 30, 2010 where the Igutechs will compete against teams from Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Teamwork is critical to success in FLL and it is the key ingredient in any team’s success. This award is presented to the team whoses members best demonstrate extraordinary enthusiasm and sprit, the utmost respect for their own teammates, and support and encouragement of fellow teams.
